The Avengers #67 (August 1969)

Thor Odinson was sent to the land of Dwarves to bid the lords to create three treasures; among them was the Mjölnir. The 6’6”, 640 lb God of Thunder was not only as strong as Superman but also wielded one’a the most powerful weapons in the universe, his energy manipulation powers were on par with Silver Surfer’s, he had complete mastery over the weather, could withstand a blast from Celestials, and swing his warhammer at twice the speed’a light. In addition, “Goldilocks” could lift a million tons without breakin’ a sweat, being able to overpower beings like Juggernaut, Sentry, and Hulk, as well as one of few who could actually kill the green guy; sure, he could just get angrier by the second but that’s only if he could even catch ‘is breath! Thor wouldn’t hold back if he were forced to do so; he’ll Godblast yo’ ass, say no more. However, his Warrior’s Madness, the most forbidden malady in Asgard, threatened his sanity. Despite allowing him to increase his strength tenfold, symptoms included massive headaches, savage behavior, and unreasoning. In addition to magic, the Mighty Thor was vulnerable to cosmic entities like Galactus&Beyonder, and could be hurt by someone like Thanos. Yeah, yeah, nobody’s perfect but to sum it all up, Thor’s a freakin’ badass&usually the go-to individual if the Avengers were in dire need of a dude who could whoop some serious ass.
